I, Robot

This sci-fi film starring Will Smith is full of action and special effects. It is set in Chicago in 2035 and robots are part of daily life working in homes and doing menial jobs around the city, governed by three laws that mean they must always help humans rather then harm them. Detective Spooner (Smith) is suspicious of them and is always on the look out for robots going bad, and is committed to getting to the bottom of the 'murder' of a leading robotic scientist friend, when it appears that a robot is the only suspect.

It was a slow starter and I was initially concerned that I wouldn't like it, but it soon picked up and we saw a spectacular car chase and some excellent robot fight scenes. The story was a bit simplistic, but quite neat, and it was an easy way to pass two hours.
