Pride and Prejudice

Why I have put off reading this classic novel for so long is beyond me. The story is not damaged for being so well known and so often adapted. Some of the words used in the book are no longer in common use and you may need to think about their meaning, but the story rolls along and so much seems to happen in a short space of time. Maybe having seen the BBC dramatisation recently helped, but I think the book is so well written it doesn't matter.

I doubt I need to tell the premise of the story of the Bennet family, and mainly second eldest daughter Elizabeth, so I won't, but it has to be said that this book is the real deal when it comes to Chick-Lit!
