Maggie O'Farrell - My Lover's Lover
Maggie O'Farrell has a very distinct style of writing which at times can be annoying, she can be overly descriptive of the mundane, yet at other times quite vague. However, the first part of this story twists and turns in a very gripping way and I am sucked in trying to second guess the ending. In the middle it is a bit choppy and changey for a few chapters as we skip back and forth between past and present from each paragraph, and after that it seems to lose its momentum and quieten down. There is not so much mystery left at the end, I still enjoyed the book but felt a bit let down.
