Strictly Dance Fever

The new dance show presented by Graham Norton debuted on Saturday. This was a final audition show where ten couples from the North (including Scotland and Northern Ireland) competed for three places in the main show. They were only allowed to where home made costumes and some of them were dire.

The judges, who included Strictly Come Dancing's Arlene Phillips, chose one couple from each pair of couples (who danced different genres) to go through. The public then voted for three out of the five to go to the proper show in three weeks.

The first genre was Swing and both couples were quite good, but the first, which featured a fabulous plump girl got through. Next was Disco, again the first couple, with the most hi-energy routine went through. Next was Line Dancing (which was nothing like an line dancing I had ever seen), followed by Ballroom (with a Latin flavour) and Freestyle. Freestyle was the most fun to watch and the couple that went through were fabulous, but there were concerns that they would struggle with the other genres.

The final three were Swing couple Clare and James; freestylers Sadie and Joseph and Line Dancers Jodie and Danny.
