Dead Whale in the Thames

Sadly, the whale in the Thames died just hours before he was scheduled to be released into the deeper waters of the Thames estury. Tough admitedly, he/she probably didn't know that he was being rescued and was rather alarmed to find himself on a noisy boat being followed by helicopters and waved at by spectators.

As sad as it is that thw whale died, this article by Diamond Geezer amused me as it managed to capture the bizarreness of the whole thing.
