Xinran - The Good Women of China

Xinran is a famous Chinese radio presenter who presented the stories of many women in China over the years she broadcast in Nanjing.

The book is a compilation of individual stories of women who lived through the Cultural Revolution and various other times of great upheaval in China. It is only a small book, and quite an easy read, though I have read better of it genre, it is good to have lots of stories of people, rather just the experiences of one family.
