Will Young - Keep On

Keep On is Will Young's third album, but is it going to be as big a hit as his first two? The title track kicks it off, it is quite laid back, but still is quite catchy. The debut single Switch It On is next (although without the 'Top Young' video!) which is instantly grabable.

All Time Love is a ballad but is not as strong as some of his previous efforts but definitely a grower. Ain't Such A Bad Place To Be has a great intro and is one of the better songs on the album and is quite dramatic and likeable from the first listen. Think It Over is also a good tune and quite upbeat. Who Am I is another slow track with some lovely lyrics, which is followed by the jazzy, Latin beat of Happiness. Save Yourself is another ballad, but is quite disappointing and a bit of a nothing track. Madness is more upbeat and is a good little pop song. All I Want seems to be a bit of a filler track and Think About It is nothing special either, but could grow on me. The final track is called Home, and that is nothing special either.

Verdict: Very disappointing, some good tracks, some growers, and a high percentage of nothing tracks. Will Young is not as commercial, and I am not sure if his fanbase can cope with it. Time will tell.
