Festival of the Sea 2005

The reason I have not been around the last few days is because I went to the Festival of the Sea, held every four years in Portsmouth. We watched a combat display which was very loud and quite good (apart from the talky parts, the cars blowing up were best) and a gun race such as they do at the Royal Tournament, as well as visiting a number of international naval and commercial ships. Disappointingly we didn't have time for the tall ships, as you had to queue to get on a lot of ships, and a some of the other displays, so we can save that for four years time.
