Dead Stylish - Lisa Armstrong

This book took me absolutely ages to read. Sure, it is quite thick at over 500 pages, but it is also quite tedious!

I was hoping it would turn out to have more to offer than the chick-lit genre, but it is just a long, slow chick-lit novel. The characters are OK, a bit too extreme to be believable. My main bugbear was how the book chops and changes from one character to another, especially at the beginning when you haven't worked out which sister is which, let alone the rest of the characters. The characters are so interlinked that the book is almost incestuous.

Overall, my verdict is that this book is disappointing, and offers nothing different to any other contemporary women's fiction.
